Music: Recorder Playing

Convenor

Margaret Phillips

The Recorder Players’ choice of music is quite eclectic, ranging from medieval to modern, including pop music, jazz, and hits from the shows. For those who have ‘experienced’ recorder-playing at school, or have heard children learning to play, you will be pleasantly surprised by the sound that an adult group of players can make.  The group is also lucky enough to have the full range of instruments – from the very mellow-sounding 6-foot contrabass to the tiny sopranino – our very own orchestra!

The Recorder Players occasionally give public performances but the focus is on exploring different styles and having a fun time.

Please contact the Convenor for further information, or if you feel recorder playing is for you.

** Please note the temporary change of venue while Bridges is unavailable after being flooded.
