The Monmouth u3a Origami group meets at the Estero Lounge in Monmouth from 10.30am – 12.30pm on the second Thursday of each month.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about origami – the art of paper-folding – is welcome, whether beginners or with previous experience of the art. Just turn up, it’ll be quite informal. We will have some tables reserved on the ground floor. There’s a £2 charge for materials to cover paper, photo-copying etc.
The general idea is to try to make each month’s folds topical or seasonal, and learn new folding techniques as we go along. Attendees will be encouraged to teach a favourite fold to the group in time if they wish. I’ll have lots of folds ready to teach you, but we can just see how it goes!
