The Music Appreciation group concentrates on Classical music covering a wide range of composers which are chosen at random. We learn about the composer’s background and the time in which they were living, and notes are provided to help the listening process. Some music will be well known while other pieces will be less familiar.
Those attending have various levels of accomplishment. Some are very knowledgeable and some freely admit they are beginners in listening to and starting to understand composition. Everyone is interested in learning more about each composer and the range of abilities in the attendees leads to a free and enjoyable conversation.
