2RiversJazz is a group of members who enjoy playing music from the Great American Songbook.
Currently we are a quintet comprising Derek Rainsford and David Hoyle on keyboards, James Delarue on saxophone, Phil Charlesworth on bass and guitar, and our vocalist Rosie Whalley.
We occasionally perform at u3a Social Events as a way of gauging our proficiency as a group but otherwise we play purely for enjoyment. At the moment we are meeting fortnightly on a Thursday afternoon at a group member’s house and play for a couple of hours until fingers, mouths and voice give up.
We’re open to new members who share our enjoyment of jazz and who have a reasonable level of proficiency on suitable instruments.
