We meet on a weekly basis on the ground floor of Bar 125 in Monmouth for an opportunity to try out our Italian. Most members of the group have rusty Italian or are learning independently, many of them on apps such as Duolingo. We are all agreed that there is no substitute for speaking face-to-face and we support each other to have the confidence to try and make ourselves understood.
You are expected to buy a coffee or drink when you attend as there is no cost for the venue.
During the hour we make use of texts to practise speaking, ask and answer questions on miscellaneous topics and play games – relaxed and informal. No teaching takes place though we do help each other out when stuck!
The group is currently full but do contact the Convenor to enquire as places do occasionally become available.
