New Group Improv (short for Improvisation) definitely falls under the ‘Laugh’ category of Learn, Laugh, Live!
It’s the art of making up short scenes and sketches on the spot, but there’s no audience to perform to and it’s just for fun. Something like ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ if you remember the TV series.
Games, exercises and humorous tasks in the first half, followed by making up very short and often silly scenes in the second half. No previous experience is needed, and you don’t have to be funny or be able to act – though you may if you wish! All you need is a sense of humour and a willingness to join in.
