Gig Goers Group

Convenor

Alun Vaughan

This is a new idea,  but we already have over 60 members.

We want to organise trips to gigs in the vicinity whether it’s Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff etc

Any type of music – rock, jazz, metal, you name it. If there’s enough interest then we can book a coach and make a day of it. And we aren’t limited to music – why not comedy gigs too?

Contact Al via the button to get your name on the list and come along to input your ideas

A few of us went to the Symphony Hall in Birmingham  – a great venue, very “civilised” and with an interesting, wide ranging musical programme.  For example:

Opeth:  https://bmusic.co.uk/events/opeth-the-last-will-and-testament

Van Morrison:  https://bmusic.co.uk/events/van-morrison

Robert Cray:  https://bmusic.co.uk/events/the-robert-cray-band-2

On the off chance, here’s review of last Wednesday from The Guardian:  https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/feb/20/uriah-heep-review-after-56-years-progressive-heavy-rockers-bid-a-blistering-live-farewell

We’ve also been to The Corn Exchange in Ross  a couple of times now. Nice venue, easy parking, good pizzas. So far we’ve seen an 80’s session and The Classic Blues Show. Next time it will be The Classic Rock Show.
