This improvers course is suitable for people with a greater knowledge of German, who would like to practise the language with other German speakers. We have lately benefitted by having new members join us, some of whom have lived for a considerable time in Germany
Each lesson begins with the opportunity for people to converse freely in pairs/small groups and some of these discussions are then shared. In addition, we discuss current issues and topics of particular interest, chosen by the group. Members of the group volunteer to provide an article in German for the class to read, discuss and translate the following week. Topics have ranged from areas visited in Germany, to books enjoyed and the experience of a gentleman as a driving instructor! Lessons usually involve laughter, as well as learning! Grammar is revised within a conversational context. We often make use of online materials to support the topics covered.
Payment is collected in advance for a whole session. Total amount may vary slightly dependent upon length of session and number of participants.

Dates: Every Tuesday in 5-6 weeks sessions following the school terms. Contact the Convenor for exact details.
Class times: 2.45 – 3.45 pm
Coffee will be served from 2.30 pm
Location: The Geoffrey Room at Monmouth Priory (upstairs – stair lift available).
Cost: £5 per week, to be paid in advance.
