This course was started in September 2025, for those who either had no previous experience of German, or who wished to consolidate their knowledge by starting again ‘from the very beginning.’
To date, we have completed 3 sessions, each of 5/6 weeks and covered the first 3 chapters of the coursebook. (Willkommen 1).
Members of the Beginners 1 have also opted to attend the Beginners 2 class, which follows on. No additional charge is made for this.
Payment is collected in advance for a whole session. Total amount may vary slightly dependent upon length of session and number of participants.
Class Details
Dates: Every Tuesday in 5-6 weeks sessions following the school terms. Contact the Convenor for exact details.
Class times: 12.00noon – 1.00pm.
Coffee is served on arrival.
Location: The Quiet Room at Monmouth Priory (upstairs – stair lift available)
Cost: £5 per week, to be paid in advance.
New members are welcome – non-obligation taster lessons are available for newcomers.
Materials: In this course we use the Willkommen 1 German Beginners’ books – the Coursebook and the Activity Book – both Third Edition, by Paul Coggle and Heiner Schenke.
