The Film Club shows mostly costume drama (The Painted Veil, Me and Orson Welles) or biopics (Cider with Rosie) and an occasional thriller (Official Secrets).
We normally meet on the last Thursday of the month to enjoy a film of 90 minutes or thereabouts, followed by tea, biscuits and chat. Those attending may vote on the following month’s choice of film.
The u3a Film Club will show White Mischief (1987) – IMDb on Thursday 27th August at 2pm in the Rockfield Park Community Centre. An all-star cast includes Joss Ackland, Greta Scacchi, John Hurt, Sarah Miles, Charles Dance, Hugh Grant and Geraldine Chaplin.
All meetings are on the FINAL THURSDAY of each month in Rockfield Community Centre until further notice.
Admission is £4 for u3a members, £5 for non members, to cover room hire. No annual fees, and no need to book – just turn up.
