The Dell Vineyard Raglan
Private Tour & Tasting – Monmouth U3A
Mike says “Join us for a delightful summer outing to our daughter’s vineyard in Raglan – The Dell Vineyard – on Thursday 2nd July, where you’ll enjoy an exclusive private tour and tasting experience in beautiful surroundings.
This guided visit offers a behind-the-scenes look at the vineyard, including how the grapes are grown and how the vines are meticulously tended to.
The owner Lucy Alford will tell you the story of how the pandemic led to a drastic career change, and how we’re now a thriving small business that is now producing award-winning wines that has received notable attention from some of the world’s best wine critics including Jancis Robinson, Matthew Jukes and Oz Clarke.
This hour-long tour will then be followed by a relaxed tasting session featuring their full range of wines and also offer a tasting of Wales’ first Pinot Noir Gin. Wines will be available to buy by the glass or by the bottle to take home. U3A members will be offered a 10% discount during the trip. Come along for a sociable and informative day out perfect for wine enthusiasts and anyone curious to learn more about local viticulture.
