We welcome back Jane Clarke with a presentation about Tycho Brahe.
Tycho Brahe was a high-ranking Danish aristocrat who was expected under the feudal system, which was still alive and well in sixteenth century Denmark, to be a diplomat. Instead he chose to dedicate his career, and his wealth, to astronomy, to the lasting benefit of European civilisation. His famously hot temper may not have been the best qualification for diplomacy.
We hope you’ll join us at Monmouth Priory (Main Hall) on Wednesday 20th May at 2.30 pm. There is no charge for Astronomy Group members who have a current annual subscription; otherwise the cost is £2.50. There is no need to book.
