Lots of u3a members enjoyed a guided visit to Treowen, a Grade 1 listed Jacobean Manor House in Wonastow, just outside Monmouth, recently. John says “the gardens of Treowen, are opening as a special “Pop up” event on Saturday, June 21st from 2-5pm in aid of NGS (National Gardens Scheme) charities. Would any U3A members be prepared to help by doing an hour on the welcome desk or helping with parking, baking cakes (ingredients reimbursed ) or serving teas (in aid of Wonastow Church) in exchange for a free ticket to the event?” Please email John, on John.wheelock@treowen.co.uk.
