- Photography Workshop – Tuesday 6th May 2 – 4 Wyesham
The photography group will be holding a workshop on Tuesday 6th May entitled: What’s the Story? Creating Powerful & Dramatic Photos. Anyone who is interested is very welcome to join us.
The photography group meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month (6th May) from 2-4pm, at the Wyesham Christian fellowship church, Chapel Close, Wyesham, NP25 3NN.
A description of the workshop is below:
Regardless of whether we use a smartphone or a camera, we can give our photographs more impact by “seeing” the most important key stories in the situations going on around us, and communicating these stories boldly and without distractions by using framing, composition and by capturing decisive moments, to maximise their emotional connection with our audiences.
We will spend the first hour looking at how we interpret visual images, and the techniques we can use to create the most powerful images of our subjects. For the second half of the workshop, we will split into groups to set up some simple scenarios that tell stories, and work out how best to photograph them. This is all about composition and training our eyes to “see”: so, please bring mobile phones rather than cameras, as we won’t be looking at technical quality!
