The next origami group meeting is on Thursday 9th January 2025 from 10.30am – 12.30am at the Estero Lounge, 95-97 Monnow St, NP25 3PS.

Newcomers to the group welcome – from total beginners to those who have done some origami before.

To start off the new year, we will be folding some “old favourites” and traditional Japanese models. Some folds will be taught, and we will also do some folding using instruction diagrams, with Tony (convenor) providing explanatory comments.

Many people find instruction diagrams difficult to understand, with the various arrows and symbols as used in books and on the web. This approach seems to work pretty well, and helps improve members’ ability to follow origami diagrams themselves. All necessary paper and photocopied instructions provided for a cost of £2 per person – pay in cash on the day. Any questions, contact the convenor (Tony)
