Tabloid newspapers often have front page headlines relating to matters of health – what’s ‘good’ for us or ‘bad’ for us. This can be diet or lifestyle related or to do with some new ‘breakthrough’ medicine.
Many of these stories do not survive close analysis: typically the detail of what is being claimed does not support the headline.
This talk will explain why this is so often the case and the sort of things to look out for beyond the headline.
