Meet ‘n’ Eat is a community café that will open on Mondays and Fridays from 12-2pm and it offers drinks and basic meals to the community. It works on a donation basis meaning that even if people are struggling financially, they can still attend.
The need helpers to volunteer!
Volunteers work in team of usually 5 or 6 and only need to commit to helping once a month. Volunteers help meet and greet people, set the café up, serve guests and some work in the kitchen. No experience needed – just a warm smile and friendly nature!
If anyone is interested in learning a bit more, they are having a meeting at Ty Price on August 7th at 11am where new people can meet some of the existing team members, find out how it all works and decide whether they fancy getting involved. I know people would be made most welcome.
