No, not the gloom which can descend on us with the prospect of damp, cold and dreary winter months ahead. No, I’m talking about the blue flowers, leaves and shrubs which can regale us until spring puts in an appearance. A surprising number, such as winter pansies, primulas, early irises, scillas, vinca, and the wonderful viburnum tinus with its blueblack berries, heathers, eucalyptus – Why, the list stretches on and on so at our meeting next Monday let’s explore further and find ways to enliven not only ourselves but our gardens, however large or small.
