U3a member Roslyn is organising a Fund Raising Event for the SEVERN AREA RESCUE ASSOCIATION (SARA) to thank them for rescuing her from her flooded house more than once.
It will be held on 28th June in and around Monmouth Priory with lots of events including music from u3a groups, food and various stalls. More details to follow.
BUT most exciting is the opportunity to ABSEIL DOWN THE TOWER OF ST MARY’S CHURCH.
Anyone can sign up to have a go at this at a cost of £40 or you can get your friends to sponsor you.
Of course it will be run by SARA with full safety equipment and support.
