Frances says “Art Friends Gwent have an event on 2nd Sept . This is an opportunity to see a stimulating exhibition with a guided tour by artist and co–curator, Bella Kerr”.

This exhibition brings together the work of 12 artists to reveal themes and modes that can be broadly described as: abstraction, repetition and pattern making; nature and healing; lying down while the world stands up; the body – whole and in parts; words and printed text. In addition to the main funded project, the website will also feature work by other artists .The exhibition asks ‚what is the connection between illness and making? Good health has obvious merits but what about the value of ill health?

AFG has a stimulating programme of events for the next year and this is a chance to attend the first event of the season free of charge.
