Xmas Shoe Box Collection for Ukraine

Bea says “We are collecting Shoe Boxes with Christmas Presents for Ukraine!”

Please drop wrapped presents in gift wrapped shoe boxes at 2 Chartist Rise, NP25 5GA 

(latest by the 12th of November)

The boxes should be nicely wrapped and maybe contain the following:

Please wrap each shoe box nicely and put a little card inside for the recipient.
On the outside please attach a card to say what is inside, I.e. suitable for a child aged 8-10 or suitable for elderly person.
We store the shoe boxes at the address above temporarily and make sure that these shoe boxes get to people in Ukraine via vehicles that go to Ukraine before Christmas.
If we are not at home, please leave the boxes under the car port in a dry spot and we will retrieve them and store them later the same day for collection an d transport to Ukraine.
Toys/game for children (can be second hand but in good condition please)
Batteries (new, in packaging)
Head Torches
Gloves and Warm good quality socks
Dried foods (must be in date for 2026)
Wet Wipes
Craft Kits
Toothbrushes (new and packaged/sealed)
NO Aerosols or breakables, fluids etc!!

Accessibility at Bridges Centre

Members’ monthly meetings are held at Bridges Community Centre, Drybridge Park. Some group meetings and activities also take place at Bridges. Off street parking is available here outside the building, and disabled parking is adjacent to the building entrance. There are no external steps or slopes, and the entrance doors are automatic. The ground floor is fully accessible and level throughout, and there is space for wheelchairs. There is a lift to the first floor, and accessible toilets on both floors. There is a hearing induction system in the Agincourt room where the monthly meetings are held.

Accessibility at Ty Price

Some group activities and meetings are held at Ty Price, St Thomas Community Hall, St Thomas’s Square. There is no off street parking here. The approach on foot is a gentle slope to double entrance doors. The ground floor of the building is fully accessible and there is a disabled toilet. The stairs to the first floor are wide and well-lit with a handrail on both sides, but there is no lift. There is a hearing induction system on the ground floor.
