Creative Writing is a small and very friendly group that meets for two hours on an ad hoc basis. A topic is chosen the previous month and then during the month members write a short article or story on that theme. At the meeting members read out their effort for a little kindly criticism and much praise, so that we all improve. After coffee the group undertakes a short exercise and sets the topic for the following month.
Below are short stories that were written by members of our group, which demonstrate that the topics we set each month do not need to be big to be beautiful! Hopefully they show that the group can be fun and not too arduous, and that the greatest fun is in the difference of everybody’s contributions. Visitors who would like to have a ‘taster’ are always welcome.
