History Themed Walk around Monmouth Thursday 23rd July, 4.30 – 6.30

Iain says “all U3A members are invited to attend a history-themed walking tour of Monmouth. A chance to learn about: ‘the booziest town in Britain’; the oldest-known boatyard in Europe; the infamous Chartist trial; mediaeval germ-warfare; and more. The tour lasts about two hours covering two miles distance, visiting Vauxhall Meadows, Great Castle House, Agincourt Square, the old shipyard, Nelson Gardens, Clawdd Du and elsewhere.
