The October Members’ Event will commence with a short AGM, followed by a talk: An  introduction to Mari Lwyd

We do hope that you will be able to join us. An agenda for the meeting will be sent out with the Newsletter in early October. We still have vacancies on the committee that we need to fill. Without a full committee your u3a will not run as smoothly as it should, so please consider standing or nominating someone you know. You only need to give a few hours of your time each month, and I am sure you will find it very rewarding. We are a friendly bunch, so you will receive masses of support while you learn the ropes. An  introduction to Mari Lwyd

with Sue and John Exton

Sue and John will introduce us to the world and traditions of Mari Lwyd, a Welsh tradition associated with the darkest time of the year, and not to be confused with the music hall star, Marie Lloyd. Sue and John will bring examples from their vast and interesting stable.

Come long on your own or with a friend for a fascinating talk and a chance to chat over coffee/tea and a biscuit. There is no need to book and the event is free!
